A major goal of the Freedom Georgia Initiative is to create a thriving safe-haven and community cooperative model for food sovereignty in underserved areas. Toomsboro, GA where our Black-owned farmland is located is considered a food desert thus leaving many families without easy access to healthy, safe, and affordable produce and meat products. We’ve developed the “Help Us Herd” Program as a first step to naturally and organically preparing our soil that was once used to grow lumber to now grow food. With your help we can purchase cattle and sheep to help organically prepare the land for our future agricultural production using natural permaculture practices with help from Farmer Wayne Swanson of Swanson Family Farms. 

The program is super easy and you can have a cow tagged and raised for your family to process in 3 years and enjoy your very own grass-fed Grade A Beef or Lamb!!! This one-time investment will not only provide your family with safe healthy meat that you know where it came from, how it was raised, and that it was prepared utilizing Halal practices but that you are helping to bring other cattle into the community that will feed the people and help prepare the ground using permaculture practices.
